Results from the first ever mass start handicap street-O race, held yesterday at Leyland, are now available to view here.

SROCkite.gif (2521 bytes) Street League a runaway success!

The 2011-12 season has come to a close, tables completed and Prizes awarded. It was one of the keenest contested I can remember. In the Age Adjusted category only 21 points separated the top 5 competitors. In the Under 21's only 3 points between the winner and runner-up. To top it all we had 3 competitors who achieved the complete score of 500 points. In conclusion I would like to thank all the organisers and their helpers who put in the time to run the events and to all the competitors who turned up to take part (we had 110 'units' competing over the season). Any way it is only just over 6 months to the next Season and in the meantime there is the Summer Series to whet your appetites. Bob Nash

Full results and final tables will be published soon, meanwhile you can add your route to RouteGadget. Pictured are league pairs winners Steve McLean and Trace Peters, moving away from the start. SROCkite.gif (2521 bytes) Street League results

The results for the event at Lancaster West are now on the web - I was proposing to only publish the final tables on Wednesday - I had thought to delay the the Lancaster results until then but was told that would be too cruel. There have been some changes after Wednesday's event - will they affect you? See you at Leyland. Bob Nash

SROCkite.gif (2521 bytes) Robert Hovey

We have recently learned of the death of Robert Hovey in his mid/late 80's. Robert was a prominant member of SROC in the 1970's and 80's. Whereas his main interest was Ski O, he found time to foot O and do his share of event organising. Robert, in his role as Ski O National Secretary, worked hard to promote this branch of our sport and always had an interest in cross country skiing. The funeral service is at St Thomas Church Kendal at 3pm on Wed 14th of March. Peter Knott

SROCkite.gif (2521 bytes) Whitbarrow lost property

There were a couple of items found at Whitbarrow today: a Buff, left at the clothing dump, and a purse (containing some cash) found on the road. If either of these things are yours please email a short description to Bob Nash.

SROCkite.gif (2521 bytes) Whitbarrow NWOL event

The sun shone (if briefly) and the walk to the start served as a good warm up for the enjoyable courses, with some fast running in places, and remarkably dry conditions underfoot. Results have been published and links to Age Class and Colour results, Winsplits On-Line, Splitsbrowser, RputeGadget and ranking points are all on the event webpage.
