JWOC selection

Many congratulations to Zoe Harding who has been selected to represent Great Britain in the 2014 Junior World Orienteering Championships which are being held in Bulgaria from Monday 21st July – Monday 28th July 2014. See BOF news.

Northern Championships final details

May we remind fellow orienteers that entries for the 2014 Northern Championships, to be held next Sunday 4th May, close tonight at midnight (27th April). Final Details are available here. Because of the very high number of entries for this event parking space will be severely limited. Competitors should make every effort to share transport to help alleviate this.

JK Relays

The JK festival ended today with the traditional relays. Stand out result for SROC was a clear win in the Senior Women (W120+) class. The team of Zoe Harding, Mary Ockenden and Sue Harding were over two minutes ahead of their nearest rivals. All results for the weekend here. JK Day 3

Day 3 was held in dramatic weather conditions today. Top SROC results were Martyn Roome 1st and Matt Cochrane 2nd in M60S, Zoe Harding 2nd in W20E and Kira Browne 2nd in W20S. Overall results combining days 2 & 3 include Martyn and Matt 2nd and 3rd in M60S, with David Rosen 6th in that class. Helen Ockenden 6th in W18E, Zoe Harding 2nd in W20E, Kira Browne 2nd in W20S and Miriam Rosen 8th in W65L. More here.

JK 2014
