SROCkite.gif (2521 bytes) Eaves Wood Autumn Series event Saturday 2nd November

We are pleased to say that we have secured some backup parking and therefore the Eaves Wood even on Saturday is ON.
Directions to the parking remain as described in the final details. Depending on numbers and conditions, you may be directed to an area of reserve parking which is less than a minute walk away.
To assist us in parking can you please:
Share transport wherever possible;
No vehicles larger than a car or SUV please;
Approach via Silverdale, not from the East.
Please note that we will not have toilets available at the event. There are public toilets available on Bank House Lane in Silverdale at w3w.co/stocky.unlimited.hoot

SROCkite.gif (2521 bytes) Bamber Bridge results

So who got off to a good start in the series? Who over-estimated the distance they could run in the allotted time? All is revealed in the results. This event hosted the Preston Guild Trophy which is based on age adjusted points, and the winner will be announced later. There are two other special trophies to run for during the season: the coveted Blackpool Tower Trophy and the John o' Gaunt Trophy, now in its second year. We have yet to confirm which event will host the Tower but the JoG will be at Halton on 8th January. The latter depends on performance through the season as well as at the nominated event. See an explanation of the JoG rules.

SROCkite.gif (2521 bytes) Bamber Bridge street league event

The SROC Night Street League got off to a great start last night from the unusually named Beam and Brycg in Bamber Bridge. Warm and dry conditions greeted the runners, many of whom were newcomers from local running clubs. RouteGadget for the event is here, and results will be posted soon, after checking.

Greetings Street Orienteers - just a week to the start of the new season at Bamber Bridge. Don't forget that this is for the Guild Trophy, so hopefully your pre-event training has been going well. Hope to see a lot of you there, all fired up and ready to go.
Also if anyone is able to take on the event on 19th February 2020, please let me know.
See you at Bamber Bridge. Bob

SROCkite.gif (2521 bytes) Street League season is almost upon us!

The information for the 2019-20 Street League season is now on the web. There have been two amendments from earlier information:
Firstly as Karen will now be away on the 6th November taking part in the Japanese OMM. Rowena has kindly agreed to swap dates. This does mean that the first event of the series will be for the Guild Trophy.
Secondly Jane Anthony does not feel able to do the event she was going to organise on the 19th February in Lytham so we need another organiser for that date. Ideally it should still be based on Lytham so it can be for the Tower Trophy, however another venue can be used to match the volunteer's preference. If this is the case I will ask Ray Pickett to host the Tower Trophy at Kirkham.

If you can help then please let me know asap. Many thanks, Bob
