The Morecambe Bay walks led by Alan Sledmore cross the sands following the old coach routes. From Hest Bank they are of nine miles in length and from Silverdale six miles. The walks cross several estuary channels, some of which may be fast running and only those of reasonable fitness should attempt the walk. The walk from Hest Bank starts from the Foreshore, Coastal Road, Hest Bank, LA2 6EA. The walk from Silverdale starts from Gibraltar Caravan Park, Hollins Lane, Silverdale, LA5 0UA. Free Parking is available at both locations. The cost of the walks is Adults: £9 Children: £5 (includes return transport). Walks are accompanied by a supporting tractor and quad bikes.
