Summer Sprint (short course) Series returns

Preparations are well in hand for the popular SROC Summer Sprint Series which begins this year on Tuesday 20th May at Worden Park, Leyland. For those not familiar with the "Sprint" event format we are also calling these events "short course" because that accurately describes them to newcomers. Each event consists of two races: a Prologue and a Final. The times from the Prologue are used to determine the start order for the Final with fastest starting last. This provides a similar experience to big Sprint orienteering races like the British Champs. The results go to form a league with prizes to be awarded at the Club Picnic.
