Thanks to those who travelled west to Blackpool to take part
in the fifth and final event of the Summer Sprint series. The wet weather of the
earlier part of the day cleared leaving us with a warm, humid but dry evening.
The low number of entrants meant that high points scores were available to the
competitors and many league places changed, most notably M(Open) and MV55+
league leaders.
League Series winners : M(Open) Finlay Johnson, W(Open) Jane
Anthony, VM55+ Paul Turner, VW55+ Miriam Rosen, JW14- Cate Matthew, JM14- not
awarded.
Total number of series competitors : 82. Thanks to all who
took part and a big thank you to Luigi Lerose / Jane Anthony, Mike Johnson, Chris Roberts and
Julian Lailey for organising / planning the series events and to their
on-the-day helpers.
