SROC win at the CompassSport Trophy heat

Sunday's CompassSport Cup and Trophy event hosted by LOC at Breasty Haw saw SROC beat BL and SOLWAY in the Trophy to gain a place in the final, scheduled for 18th October. Team results are on the LOC website. Congratulations to the 13 SROC scorers who were as follows: 100 points: Marni Lusardi, Alex Matthew, Danny Lusardi, Rebecca Rooke, David Roome, Deb Murrell, John Taylor and Mike Johnson. 99 points: Heather Roome, Joe Murphy.  98 points: Ben Todhunter, Michael Finch and Andy Quickfall.  However the CST is a team event and these scorers were given excellent support by other SROC runners who pushed down rivals, and by all who took part.  The juniors in particular made a terrific contribution, with Cate Matthew and Ellie Todhunter also finishing ahead of all the runners from other clubs on their course.  Well done to everybody!
