Medals haul for LGGS girls at the British Schools Champs!
The British Schools Orienteering Championships were held today in Hampshire, following a selection race on Saturday for the World Schools Champs next year. The Lancaster Girls' Grammar School sent its strongest team ever and it showed! Year 7 girls team were 1st, years 9 & 11 teams both finished 2nd (with individual 2nds for Katrin & Zoe Harding), and the school was third overall in the large secondary category. Most of the team are SROC members. Other SROC members were running for Lancaster Royal Grammar School and Ashton Community Science College, including Chris Nash who was 1st in boys year 9.
