Results and RouteGadget for the event held on Wednesday 12th September are now available.
I am of the opinion that Duxbury has it in for me. Twice this year I have tried to put an event on here and on both occasions the weather has been awful. On Wednesday, despite being dry for the event, it had rained almost continuously for two days - including when I was putting controls out - and turned large amounts of the area into an almost impassable quagmire. Sadly this had the affect of making already hard courses (Duxbury is a lot more demanding than we sometimes appreciate) virtually impossible, very physically demanding and in some cases dangerous, especially those that went near to a very, very swollen river. However I am very grateful to those who turned up and gave it a go. Can also thank the two Karen's (Q & N), Rob Humphries, John Brewer and Darren Baker for the help they gave - greatly appreciated - especially the collecting in of a lot of the controls which reduced considerably the number I had to collect early on Thursday morning. Next weeks at Astley Village should be less physical but demanding in a different way. See you there. Bob Nash
