SROCkite.gif (2521 bytes) Halton Permanent Orienteering Course Launch

The launch event was a resounding success, with over 50 people, both local residents and experienced orienteers from further afield, enjoying the chance to run on this new permanent course. The overall clear winner was David Hunt, visiting from Bristol Orienteering Klub, who netted all 27 controls in 38.33. Second was SELOC's Paul Turner in 44.11. Almost everyone made it back before the hour and so avoided penalty points. Results may be viewed here. Our photo (thanks Mark Edwards) shows the gathered throng just before the mass start.
