Yes, we are keen to make the series happen! Many rules remain the same – you must wear high visibility clothing, complete your run in the dark and it is recommended that you carry a torch.
Due to Covid, and to keep us all safe there are some important changes:
· Each event has a date but you have a week from that date to complete your run. We hope this will allow runners to stay distanced. Note, the date shown on the SROC fixture list is the last date for each event, not the first!
· You must travel to and run at each event alone (or with others from your household). This includes pairs.
· You should not arrange to meet up with others pre or post run.
· You should abide by all National and Local rules in place at the time.
These events are free to enter for now but it is likely that we may have to pay a BO levy. This is £1.50 per run. A record will be kept and you will be asked to pay this electronically after the first 5 events.
Events may vary. Some will ask you to email the organiser to obtain a map and answer sheet that you can then print out. You will then scan or photo your answer sheet and return it by email. Ideally you will also provide an electronic trace of your route on Route Gadget or Strava or equivalent. The email request will also serve as the insurance registration that we usually complete for the series. Some events may use MapRun instead. It is very important that you check each event on the SROC events calendar as the situation is constantly changing.
