In Sunday's relays the leading SROC teams were the Men's Short team of Alex and Tom Matthew and James Todhunter and the M/W70 team of Martyn Roome, Miriam Rosen and Paul Ferguson. SROCkite.gif (2521 bytes) Sizergh Spring Series event

The Sizergh event went ahead in pleasant sunny conditions today. A good mix of beginners and experienced orienteers enjoyed their courses. Unfortunately the event was marred by one unidentified  competitor who decided to take a short cut over a wall (marked with a purple line as uncrossable) near the start. We hope this thoughtless action has not prevented us from being able to use this area in the future. Please, always take note of markings depicting out of bounds areas and uncrossable features. Results are posted here, and RouteGadget is here. Lost property: a blue hooded top, size medium, left in the download tent.

SROCkite.gif (2521 bytes) Street League Prizegiving

Many thanks to all those who came and ran on what turned out to be a disappointingly damp evening and especially those who were able to collect their prizes. However I think a good time was had by all and this series finished with a very pleasant evening in a pub which treated us well. The results for this event are here and RouteGadget can be found here. So you can put your torches, reflective bibs and pencils away until October and yes we do already have a full series for 2022/23. Thanks to the many who have supported the events over the series and hope you will be able to take part in the next one. Bob

The final tables for the series are now on the web, however the final trophy was to be challenged for at Bamber Bridge. This is the GUILD TROPHY which is based on the gross scores, not adjusted for age and gender, and cannot be won by anyone who has been a previous winner. The winner for this year is Peter Brooke, many congratulations to him. Bob

This was the last event in the series and the weather was kind giving those who ran very pleasant conditions. Quite a good turnout with a number of new faces which is pleasing. The pub did us proud in terms of the accommodation and the food. Results are here. We can now finalise who gets what in time for next weeks prizegiving at Cottam.
