Autumn Series begins

The first in the current series of events was held at Arnside Knott today. Balmy conditions and a choice between cross-country and score courses helped to make for an enjoyable event. Results and RouteGadget are linked from the results page.

Club Picnic

Today saw a return to the wooded Roeburndale valley for a scorching hot club picnic. Never has the shade of trees been so welcome! Congratulations to the worthy winners, results are on-line here. The mass start time was adjusted by 15 seconds because the timer was that much slow.

Myerscough College Summer Sprint Series event

The last summer series event for this year, and a fitting end to a most enjoyable series. Myerscough campus is a suitably challenging area for split second decision making demanded by sprint orienteering, and good use was made of it by the planner, John Taylor. Avenham & Miller Parks Summer Sprint Series event

What a fantastic event this evening in the charming Miller and Avenham parks! Glorius weather, a new map and excellent courses planned by Dave Hargreaves. Results and RouteGadget are now available.

Cottam Summer Sprint Series event

The somewhat complex urban terrain of Cottam hosted the latest summer sprint, with this one also counting in the North West Urban League. For results and RouteGadget links visit the results page.

Williamson Park Summer Sprint series event

Another great and well attended event in Williamson Park this evening. Results are on-line here, and SROC RouteGadget is here.

Wellington Wood Summer Sprint series event

This evening's event in Wellington Wood, near Dolphinholme, saw the wood in perfect condition for orienteering. Julian Lailey had set challenging courses where lapses of concentration were paid for in seconds lost, resluting in places lost too. Results may be viewed here.
