Kirkham & Wesham night street league event
Well the weather turned out much better than forecast, with hardly any rain and only moderate winds. The decision to go ahead was therefore vindicated and the lucky runners enjoyed the clear map and well positioned controls. RouteGadget is ready for your routes and, as always, results will be published as soon as possible.

Weather update 08.00 Wednesday morning
The high winds are now forecast to abate in the late afternoon, along with the heavy rain, leaving us with a dryish and somewhat blustery weather window in the evening. The event will therefore go ahead as planned. We look forward to seeing many of you there contesting the coveted Blackpool Tower Trophy! This will definitely be won by someone new because the rules don't allow it to be awarded twice to the same person.

58th AGM news
The 58th SROC AGM was held on 4th October at Lancaster University. This was the first face to face AGM for three years, but also included the facility for members to join in on-line, resulting in a good turnout of over twenty members. Minutes of the meeting are available here. Headline news: we have a new Chairman, Martyn Roome. Both SROC and BO membership fees remain unchanged. The other AGM papers are still available.

Night's are drawing in, the Night Street League is getting nearer!
The ever-popular Night Street league will commence the 2022-2023 season on Wednesday 19th October in Ormskirk. Details are available via the fixtures page or direct from here. Events continue through the darker months at two week intervals. These events are a great way to get some competition in, help get back into running after a lay-off or just to enjoy the social aspect. Start and finish is usually from a pub serving food, with the top league places always hotly contested.
