The Street League starts again on 9th January

The first Street League of the new year is on a new area: Bolton North.
A supply of pasties & peas will be delivered hot to the venue (Eagley Cricket Club). If you have not reserved yours, these will be available on a first-come first-served basis. Meals may be reserved by emailing Paul Turner stating number of meat/potato or cheese pastie +/- peas. Cost will be 1.40 (or just a pound without peas). The bar will be open from 8 pm. New Year Caption Competition

It's been a while since the last one, so thanks to Martyn Roome for sending in this picture from a friend in Norway. To register your suggestion you can join in on the Message Board or email the Webteam. There probably isn't a prize - it's all "honoris causa" (for the sake of honour).

New Year Cracker results

Results for today's event at Roeburndale are now on the results index, including links to Splitsbrowser and Winsplits Online. Routegadget is also available. Strangely we had three people who failed to punch the start. They have been given approximate start times based on their check time, but ensuring that no prize winning places are changed.

SROC Ceilidh Hot Pot and social Saturday 2nd February 2008

Come and enjoy the CEILIDH, Hot Pot and Bar social event on Sat Feb 2nd 7.30 to 11pm at the Kirkland & Catterall Memorial Hall, Churchtown nr Garstang. Tickets are 10 pounds adults and 5 pounds juniors, available at all of the next few events. At the New Year Cracker and Bolton street events look for Dawn Lock. They will also be available at the Club Handicap and Social on Jan 12th. If you can't get to any of these events, tickets can be obtained by post from Dawn Lock at 7 Sefton Court, 44 North Promenade, Lytham St. Annes, FY8 2NQ, with a SAE and cheque made out to "SROC". More helpers needed for the Tim Watkins Blodslitet

The Tim Watkins Trophy (Blodslitet) event at Whitbarrow Scar on March 1st is still short of helpers. Most urgently required are First Aiders to work in 2 groups. Additionally there is a need for a further 4 volunteers for misc jobs not requiring any special skills or experience. These would be ideal for new club members to get more involved with running an event. If you are able to help please contact Peter Knott (assistant organiser) 01772 683072 asap.
