SROCkite.gif (2521 bytes) Summer Sprint Series (Short Course) 2014 final results

For all those people who have been feverishly calculating their scores and can't wait until Saturday the final league scores have been published. You can also compare all age classes by viewing the overall results. There were a few changes to top placings after the fifth event at Chorley so congratulations go to Mike Johnson and Helen Ockenden, winners of the open classes. The junior class winners were Finlay Johnson and Beth Davey and the Veteran winners were Chris Roberts and Jane Anthony. Sheena Cottam and Mary Hewitt won the pairs and groups category. There will be a swift presentation of (edible) prizes at the Club Picnic.

SROCkite.gif (2521 bytes) Club Picnic

Don't forget this Saturday is our club picnic at Hyning Wood, Carnforth. It is a mass start at 1pm but turn up ready to run at 12.30. This is a retro event going back to the days of pin punching before electronic punching came into use. Wear original club kit if you have some. The start, finish and picnic are all in same place so you can bring all your gear with you from the car. Please bring food and drink to share for the picnic after the run. Find out who won the sprint series at the prize giving.
