SROCkite.gif (2521 bytes) Wednesday evenings in the Lakes

This Wednesday sees the final LOC technical race of the current season, in Eggerslack near Grange over Sands. Close to SROC-land and well worth doing, with recommended fish and chips in Grange afterwards. Meanwhile details have been released of the popular WAROC Battleaxe series which commences the following Wednesday.

Details now final! CHANGE OF PARKING to Tarn Hows main car park GR325996. Registration at car park. 1.3km to start / finish.
This year, it is possible that the traditional 60min score format will be replaced. There may be two courses of 4.5 / 3.0km with butterfly loops and optional mass start, as well as something for beginners which may be an easy score course.

Grizedale Forest. An event to open the new Forestry Commission permanent course. Courses will use newly-installed permanent markers with the addition of sport ident and several extra controls. New map. Parking in main visitor centre CP.

Excellent varied terrain with plantation, oak woodland and open fell.
